Farm Bill 2012
The Farm Bill is the primary agricultural and food policy tool of the federal government. The comprehensive bill is passed every five years in Congress. Recently, Congress decided to postpone action on the new bill until after the November elections.
On today's Talk of Iowa, membersĀ of the Environmental Working Group, the Center of Agricultural and Rural Development and a Conrad, Iowa dairy farmer discuss the Farm Bill, its benefits for current and future farmers and their concerns about it's recent stalemate in Congress.
